Christopher Olson is an urban contemporary/pop surrealist artist based in Seattle, Washington. After receiving his formal training in drawing and painting from The School of Visual Concepts in 1992, he continued his education in print making at Sev Shoon and advance painting at Pratt Institute. While these schools gave him the opportunity to study with other art professionals, he considers himself largely self taught.

Experimenting in many different mediums and techniques over the years has led him to create several large bodies of work varying in style and subject matter. The core to his approach to creating has always been constant. Starting from a simple concept, drawing or doodle, he sets out to create a narrative that explores the light and dark sides of imaginary worlds. Liking to a mystery, his characters occupy landscapes that are both familiar and unknown where the viewer must explore to gather further meaning.

His work has been seen at Urban Lights Studios, Bherd Studios, Woodland Park Zoo, West Seattle Summer Festival, Triple, Neptune Coffee, Derby Salon, Jay Walk, Cafe Ladro
Pioneer Saloon, Little Red Studio, Hengst Studio and Sev Shoon Arts Center.

He continues to build upon his success in the Pacific Northwest with the launch of Echo Echo Gallery with fellow artists Alexandria Sandlin, dear earthling , Reed Carpenter and Xavier Lopez
